| THE WEBMASTER'S CHALLENGE |
|
In January 2009, I issued
a challenge to the SCI chapters asking each chapter to submit an article for the
SCI web site's monthly Featured Stein. I have since amended the challenge to get
articles from different contributors.
Here are the results for the first two complete years: 14 chapters contributing 18 different persons contributing There were six months where the challenge was not met, but the good news is that someone always came forward with an article and I did not have to write one. There are still more chapters and many more collectors out there with beautiful and interesting steins that we would like to hear from. |
|
In year three, the challenge was met seven times, three times with a new chapter
contributing, and four times with new authors contributing. However, the
contributions fell off somewhat last year. There was one month where I was
forced to write the article, and repeat contributors saved the day in five other
months.
Here are the results for the first three complete years: 17 chapters contributing 22 different persons contributing There are eleven months left in year four of the challenge, and only seven chapters that have not contributed. Check the list below to see if your chapter has contributed, and if not, bring this subject up at your next chapter meeting. This can be a group effort. Let's finish the challenge this year. |
| The articles do not have to be literary masterpieces. All that is required is a nice picture or two and a paragraph or two describing the stein, and its history and background. Please email me with questions or articles at sci@steincollectors.org. |
